How to Build a Hospital ERP
A hospital ERP has to unify patient records, scheduling, billing, and pharmacy stock without slowing down front-desk and clinical staff.
Start with the patient record
Every other module — scheduling, billing, pharmacy — should read and write against one patient record, not a copy of it.
Don't bolt on billing later
Billing errors usually come from re-entering data that already exists elsewhere in the system. Wire billing to the same record as scheduling and treatment from day one.
Plan pharmacy stock as a live feed, not a nightly batch
Prescriptions should decrement stock the moment they're filled, so reorder alerts and expiry tracking stay accurate.
